Methodology
Survey Overview
Restoration PAC commissioned surveys conducted by Hodas & Associates (Springfield, Illinois) involving 600 registered voters likely to vote in the 2020 General Elections. Sample composition: approximately 70% landline, 30% cellphone.
Sampling Methodology
- Design: Mixed-mode probability sampling using landline and cellphone numbers
- Provider: Aristotle, Inc.
- Structure: Numbers selected proportionally by region, gender, and age based on state demographics
- Screening: All respondents verified as registered voters and assessed for voting likelihood
- Quotas: Applied to match age, gender, and regional proportions; no weighting has been applied to raw data
Interview Process
- Method: Live interviewers only; no automated calls or online surveys
- System: Computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) with human and software monitoring
- Landline Protocol: Predictive dialing set at 2:1 line ratio maximum; average of four call attempts per unanswered number
- Cellphone Protocol: Manual dialing per TCPA requirements; respondents screened for safe environments
Statistical Accuracy
Surveys carry a margin of error of +/- 3% at the 95% confidence interval, meaning results would vary no more than +/-3 percentage points in 95 of 100 similar samples. Higher margins of error apply to sub-groups.
